Marianne Buchanan is a Toowoomba-based artist, playwright, puppeteer, teacher and creative director whose work explores storytelling, identity, human connection and the wonderfully strange business of being alive.
Working across drawing, painting, illustration, theatre and puppetry, Marianne’s practice is playful, expressive and often a little unconventional. Her visual work moves between observation and imagination, drawing inspiration from people, mythology, nature, humour and the stories we carry with us.
